It is hard for anyone to speak in front of camera, trust me. You will hear that from me at least thousand times, either in blog or video. And this is one of the main reasons, why I had to have teleprompter.
Price for teleprompter might vary from few dollars for DIY ones and up to few hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
I did try to make my own teleprompter with 3D printer and all what’s needed to do it, I found few different tutorials on internet. But it is far away from what you really get when you buy one. And at the end when you calculate everything, you lose more time to make it then buy it. And time is money!
I’ve tried 3 different teleprompters in segment of around $100 +/- few dollars. All of these 3 are so much different but yet similar in same time.
DESVIEW T2 TELEPROMPTER
So the first one I tried was T2 teleprompter from Desview. Complete built is plastic, except rings that comes with and are almost for all sizes of lens are made of metal.
In the box beside teleprompter and all of the different size rings we also get:
holder to mount smartphone or smaller tablet
holder for phone for the backside
cloth to clean lens or glass
remote
screwdriver
3 screws
and as final, manual
Installation is easy, except that front cover took me some nerves to remove it. I don’t know, some strange design of it. But despite that, after ring is installed on lens, just snap it in teleprompter and voila.
In front, phone holder needs to be fixed with 2 screws that are included in the package beside small screwdriver.
Now about the use of this particular model: on amazon its written that minimum focal length should be 35mm. But I record most of my videos between 20 and 24mm and I had never any issue with seeing anything in a frame. But honestly it feels more natural with teleprompter to set lens to 28mm on my Tamron 17-28 and set camera little further away.
[vmestni del, ki manjka] Application and remote control:
App can be found in Google play store or iOS appstore and it’s free to use. As from Android user, application is very easy to use with multiple options.
Photos (not Screenshots!) of application +short text under each photo!
Everything can be controlled via Bluetooth remote, which needs 2x AA batteries to work. [konec v mestnega dela] Price for Desview T2 teleprompter is not high, but feels like that due to its built, which is set at $xxx / £xxx / xxx€.
And again here are 2 more rivals in this price range. One is cheaper other is more expensive. For these two I didn’t made video but if you would like to see a video for it you can DM me on my instagram @denisjosifoski and I will do it eventually.
PAFIEO TELEPROMPTER
Same purpose, different install. This would be just in few words to say about Pafieo Teleprompter, but thats not the point.
Pafieo is
